Wheat Grinding (Atta Chaki)

Groundnut decortication unit

A groundnut decortication unit can be set up in an agricultural or semi-rural area close to peanut-growing regions to reduce raw material transport costs. The main machinery includes a groundnut decorticator, cleaning/grading machine, and shell separator. The decorticator removes the shells from the peanuts, the cleaning machine separates dust and debris, and the grading unit sorts kernels by size. The machinery cost starts from ₹1-2 lakh and above, The manufacturing process involves feeding dried groundnuts into the decorticator, cracking and separating shells from kernels, cleaning to remove husk and impurities, and grading for uniform size. Raw materials are dried groundnuts with shells, sourced directly from farmers or wholesale markets. Around 500–1000 sq ft is needed for processing, storage, and packing. Decorticated peanuts are used in oil extraction, snacks, confectionery, and peanut-based products. Sales channels include oil mills, snack manufacturers, wholesale grain markets and food processors.
