Poultry Feed
Poultry feed manufacturing unit is set up preferably near poultry farming belts and rice-producing districts to ensure raw material availability and market access. The unit will produce balanced poultry feed in mash or pellet form for broilers and layers using maize, soybean meal, rice bran, fish meal, limestone, salt, oil, and vitamin–mineral premixes. The plant will be equipped with hammer mill, mixer, conveyors, micro-dosing system, pellet mill with conditioner and steam line, cooler, crumbler, screener, oil sprayer, bagging machine, dust collection and a small boiler. Individual machinery costs vary by brand, scale and specification. The production process involves raw material cleaning, grinding, mixing, conditioning, pelleting, cooling, crumbling or screening, and bagging, under strict quality checks. The project requires minimum 3000-5000 sft of area. The end product is sold in 25 or 50 kg bags to local poultry farms, contract growers, distributors, and integrators across West Bengal and neighboring states.
